The Sports Direct Gaelic4Mothers&Others Provincial Festivals continue this weekend with huge gatherings taking place in South Leinster and Munster. The seaside club of Bray Emmetts in Co. Wicklow will host its first ever South Leinster Provincial Festival. There will be planes, trains, and automobiles employed to transport the teams to their host venue where football will be the vehicle for fun, friendship, and football. There promises to be a real beach-party atmosphere to the day and there will be an sea of colours interacting and enjoying the day out. Once the sands of time have run out on the football field, and everything has come to a head, Bray will be the backdrop of forever memories and friendships. The tradition of Mallow hosting the Munster Festival is now becoming a long standing one. There are very few venues that can accommodate such a vast gathering of G4M&O groups in the South of the country. While the Festival venue remains unchanged the same thing cannot be said of the teams and participants. Due to the huge growth in the programme there is a staggering amount of fresh faces visiting the festival on their maiden excursion to Mallow. No doubt, for the new teams and participants this will become their own annual pilgrimage and they’ll be the ones welcoming newer faces in years to come. As always it is only for the hosting clubs and provincial volunteers and referees who have worked so hard to plan, supported by the dedicated Leinster and Munster staff, that these days are there for us all to enjoy. Here’s to them and all who will make all of our Festival days so special! Share this Article 0 0
