SPRING IN TG4 STEP FOR GAA COVERAGE 50 GAA matches to be broadcast in the coming months TG4 has announced that it will broadcast 50 GAA matches between now and the League Finals in May. The station unveiled details of its comprehensive coverage of GAA matches for the coming months with live and deferred coverage from the Allianz Football and Hurling Leagues, AIB All-Ireland Club Championships, Ulster Bank Sigerson and Fitzgibbon Cups, Cadburys Under-21 Football Championship, Bord Gáis Energy National Ladies League Finals as well as live coverage of the Hogan and Croke Cup Finals (See full list of matches below). The first weekend of TG4’s live Football League coverage for 2010 gets off to an exciting start next Sunday 7th February with the first of the channel’s live broadcasts as All-Ireland champions Kerry take on Dublin in Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney. This match will be followed by full deferred coverage of the clash between Mayo and Galway from McHale Park, Castlebar and will also include highlights of the Derry v Tyrone and Meath v Armagh matches. The channel will provide further GAA coverage on the Monday night GAA 2010 hour-long highlights programme with the best of the action from that weekend’s other top League fixtures being included in the established peak time slot 8-9pm. Live coverage of GAA fixtures continues on TG4 every Sunday to the beginning of May. Continuing with last year’s successful format, TG4’s Sunday afternoon schedule will provide full coverage of two matches – one live and one deferred with full coverage of a second match broadcast immediately after the live match.
