St. Croans Ladies GAA St. Croans Ladies will hold a registration evening next Friday, 17th April commencing in the Fr. Flanagan centre Ballymoe from 7 pm to 8 pm and at the Old School house Ballintubber from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm. All players are asked to come along and register for the up coming season. Registration fees are as follows U8’s €20 U10’s €25 U12’s to U18’s €40 Over 18’s €55. New players at all age levels are welcome. Our u16 girls were narrowly defeated in the Div 2 Cup semi final on Sunday last by St. Barrys. Croans led for most of the game and were unlucky to concede 1-1 in the closing minutes of the game leaving the final score St. Croans 5-6 St. Barrys 5-9. St. Croans will now go on to play St. Brigid’s in the Div 2 Shield final next Sunday 19th April and we would like to wish the players and management the very best of luck. Management Team Shane Conneely Brendan Keegan Mary Bailey Quinn U12 girls got their season off to a winning start when they defeated St. Faithleachs in Ballyleague on Sunday last. This was an all round excellent team performance. Final score St. Croans 2-2 St. Faithleachs 1-1. Next Sunday they will play Castlerea and that game is scheduled for 6 pm. Training continues on Thursday evening. Our Junior ladies defeated St. Faithleachs on Good Friday and are now scheduled to play St. Dominic s in the the fourth round of the Div 3 league on Sunday next. Details of this game will be confirmed at training on Friday evening next. The club would like to sincerely thank everyone who supported their recent fundraising events, to all who attended our table quiz on Good Friday night and to those who donated spot prizes. We would also like to thank all who gave their time to assist in our bag packing in Dunnes Stores on Holy Saturday. Well done to our Junior ladies who were presented with their County Junior B winners medals at our club dinner dance recently.
