St. Dominic's Ladies Notes

St. Dominic’s Beginners & Nursery Programme continues each Saturday morning at the pitch. The U10s played St. Faithleachs away on Tuesday 15th July and all players acquitted themselves very well. The U8s and U10s next games are away to Clann na nGael on Wednesday 23rd July.  The U10s will also take part in a Blitz next Saturday, 26th July in Cam pitch as part of the Brideswell Pattern Festival. St. Dominic’s Ladies Football Club extends its sympathies to our U8/U10 Manager Padraig Grady and his family on the recent death of his mother Mary Kate (Mai) RIP, Ar dheis lámh Dé go raibh a hanam uasal.

The Juniors ladies football team travelled to play Four Roads in the 4th Round of the Championship on Friday 19thJuly. However, due to a waterlogged pitch the game had to be abandoned – a new date for this fixture has yet to be confirmed. The Minors first game in the Championship is a home fixture against St. Brigids on Tuesday 29th July.

The U14s played a challenge game against Longford Slashers away on Friday 18th July in preparation for the upcoming U14 Championship. Everyone played superbly with great teamwork and link-up play. Dominic’s first game in the U14 Championship is on Sunday 17th August.

Best wishes to St. Dominic’s players Julie Healy, Eimear McNally & Rachel Corcoran and the Roscommon U16 Ladies Football team that play Galway in the U16 Championship Connacht Final on Sunday 27th July @ 6.00pm in Charlestown.
