St. Nathys Weekly Notes

Well the U14’s returned from Cork tired but with smiles on their faces and a great week end was had by all the players and parents that went to support them. They were not victorious in their games, they came close and fought hard but the strength of 2 Cork teams Glanmire and Midleton and a Wicklow team, Baltinglass were just too much for them in the end. Ciara Gorman represented Nathys in the Skills competition and came second loosing by only 3 points. Well done to Ciara she did the club proud. A word of thanks needs to be expressed to Katriona Connolly, Paddy Coleman, Ann-Marie Coleman & Yvonne McGowan for all their preparation for the week end and travelling with the team. They enjoyment of the weekend was also helped by the parents who supported the team in Cork it was a long distance to travel but I’m sure the girls appreciated the cheers on the sideline and on behalf of the club a thank you is extended to the parents as its nice to have support at games.

The Under 12’s had their League Final on Monday 27th June it was held in Tourlestrane and was against Eastern Harps. Unfortunately on the day Eastern Harps emerged victorious. St Nathys girls were down hearted but cheered on the winners. They put in a great fight and some of the football skills displayed on the day out classed higher levels and the game was an excellent evening’s entertainment. Well done to the girls, their managers Tracy O’Kennedy, Tom Keane, & Sharon Henry and the parents who help at the training sessions it is great to see so many parents getting involved with the girls and we hope they continue to more involved with the teams in the coming years. We look forward to the Championship!!
