Pat Quill said “Cumann Peil Gael na mBan is indebted to all associated with the organisation, coaching and playing of ladies gaelic football in our Post Primary Schools throughout the country. Sport has a major role in society and plays an integral part in the social and educational lives of our students. It requires a phenomenal input and effort from many people in reaching today’s Tesco All Ireland finals to successfully balance both academic and sporting commitments. Tesco have formed a close partnership with our association which is of mutual benefit to both organizations and I thank them for their financial and marketing assistance”

John Prendergast, Head of Trade Planning and Local Marketing said “All Ireland Final Day at any level of any sport is a day to savour but to be taking part with your school friends with whom you have toiled day in day out, is extra special. Your school team is a mix of backgrounds, could be a mix of parishes and brings together a mix of players from different clubs. The All Ireland Post Primary Schools Finals are all about the players and the managers of the schools competing and of course it is a very proud day for their schools, for their families and for their friends”.
