TG4 Ladies All Ireland Finals day is one of the most family friendly and enjoyable days of the year and a major factor contributing to this enjoyment is the Exhibition Games that allow clubs and players of all ages the unforgettable opportunity of playing or officiating on the field in Croke Park. Earlier this Summer clubs were invited to enter into a competition to select the clubs that would see the winners given the opportunity of being involved in the action on the field and today, the winners of that competition have been announced. The ball girls for the day will come from Oughterard in County Galway and they will be joined by fellow Under 14 teams from Burren Gaels (Clare), Shamrocks (Offaly) and Ardfinnan (Tipperary) who will provide the officials for the half time activities. 54 clubs entered the competition to have their Under 10 teams play at half time but only 6 of those clubs could be successful and they are Round Towers (Clondalkin), Charlestown (Mayo), Railyard (Kilkenny), Balyna (Kildare), St. Pat’s (Waterford) and Mourneabbey (Cork). Gaelic4Mothers&Others Clubs from 20 counties entered into the competition to be amongst the 6 Gaelic4Mothers&Others Clubs to take part in the half time activities with the winning entrants coming from Dunamaggin (Kilkenny), St. Pat’s Donabate (Dublin), Monaleen (Limerick), Gaultier (Waterford), St. Faithleach’s (Roscommon) and Rock St. Patrick’s (Tyrone). All 16 clubs can now begin making their plans for September 25th as they will be part of the action at Croke Park on TG4 All Ireland Finals day. The Ladies Gaelic Football Association are also asking all members to join us in Croke Park on September 25th and help us to Change the Record as we hope to host our largest ever attendance at the TG4 All Ireland Finals eclipsing the figure set at the 2001 TG4 All Ireland Final of 33,000. In 2015 the LGFA hosted the largest attendance at a female sporting event in Europe when 31,083 attended the TG4 All Ireland Finals and it is hoped that the attendance can increase again this year. Tickets for the TG4 All Ireland Finals are now on sale through www.tickets.ie or through the LGFA office on 01 8363156. 2016 Exhibition Games Under 10 Round Towers, Dublin Charlestown, Mayo Railyard, Kilkenny Balyna, Kildare St Pat’s, Waterford Mourneabbey, Cork Under 14 Officials Burren Gaels, Clare Shamrocks, Offaly Ardfinnan, Tipperary Under 14 Ball Girls Oughterard, Galway G4M&O Dunamaggin, Kilkenny St Pats Donabate, Dublin Monaleen, Limerick Gaultier, Waterford St Faithleachs, Roscommon Rock, Tyrone Share this Article 0 0
