Thomas McCurtains Show Support for Climb4Clare in London

Thomas McCurtains ladies team raised £400 for the charity initiative Climb4Clare by holding a fun and lively musical bingo night on Saturday 15th November. The winter may have been setting in but that didn’t deter the crowd turning up at O’Grady’s Irish Bar, Seven Kings to help support the worthy cause that’s supported by the Ladies Gaelic Football Association and the Irish Cancer Society. The Saturday night revellers settled into their teams and after watching a video all about Climb4Care, the musical bingo competition got underway. The aim of the game was to listen out for the songs on your score card and reach a full house — then wave loudly, scream bingo and run up to the front — easy as that. Each round was a catchy affair that bore prizes for the first to shout Bingo. Teams were treated to an eighties round, a nineties round and a noughties round as well as an enjoyable TV and movies round and then of course finished off with an Irish music round — with songs performed by the girls’ team themselves — and a Christmas songs round. It was an enjoyable evening of entertainment and when the festivities of the bingo and the raffle were finished a DJ kept everyone happy and dancing into the night. Thomas McCurtains and LGFA wishes to thank O’Grady’s Irish Bar, who sponsor the ladies team, for hosting the event and expresses its gratitude to everyone who showed up on the night to support such a worthy initiative.
