Wicklow Girls Under 10 Blitz

Wicklow County hosted a series of u10 blitzes on Saturday 18th April in St Pats, Coolkenna and Laragh. The attendance and enthusiasm amongst players and clubs were great. AGB entered 3 teams, St Pat’s 2 and Coolkenna, Tinahely, Bray and Clara completed the line up.

The three teams were evenly matched with most of the games going down to the wire, so much so that the second game between AGB and Coolkenna ended in a draw.

Again a wonderful day was had by all involved. The players all showed a huge amount of skill and talent. Matches between these clubs always produce good football and this was no different.

For many players this was their first competitive event and the excitement was great. It was however a wonderful performance from all the players and again the parents that travelled enjoyed the day immensely.

Thanks to the mentors and supporters who travelled on the day. The blitz will be played on a monthly basis at a venue to be confirmed.
