Meath Ladies get their Lidl National Football League campaign under way on Sunday next January 28th when they play Down. Meath had a comfortable victory over Down in last year’s fixture and manager Eamon Murray will be hoping for more of the same.  The game is set for 2pm but as yet there is no venue.

With the start of the Lidl National Football League just a week away Meath Ladies manager Eamonn Murray has announced his Captain and Vice Captain for the 2018 season.

After doing such a fantastic job last year Royal Gaels Niamh O’Sullivan has been named once again as Captain. Niamh has many years experience as a club and county player and led the county to a magnificent Leinster Intermediate title in 2017.

2017 saw Donaghmore/Ashbourne’s Máire O’Shaughnessy named the Player of the Year for the county. Her efforts have not gone unnoticed and she has been rewarded with the role of Vice Captain. Máire also has many years experience at both club and county level.

Details of venue as soon as it becomes available.
