The LGFA ‘Laoch’ Programme aims to develop and upskill aspiring LGFA adult county players to increase their visibility and profile but also providing continuous professional development in relation to media and their position as a role model.

 

Who is the Programme for?

‘Laoch’ is aimed at adult county captains, vice captains and their leadership teams.

 

Why Should You Attend?

The profile of our game has increased rapidly over the past few years and it is essential that we provide the training and support required by our key models as they aspire to enhance communication and motivate and inspire others to get involved in sport. The training will also be delivered by experts in the field of media and leadership.

 

What are the Aims of the Programme?

By the end of this programme, Participants will:

  1. Be a voice for the importance of sport and promote the positive values
  2. Understand what makes a good leader and gain an insight into their personal leadership style
  3. Know how to motivate and inspire themselves, their teams and the next generation of future athletes
  4. Know how to develop a strong communication style
  5. Gain the skills required to increase their own profile and visibility through social and traditional media
