I applied for Learn to Lead because: I want to learn new leadership strategies and techniques that are tailored specifically to women and their unique experiences and challenges; and be a role model for younger females in my club.

The things I am looking forward to most is: Connecting with other women from around the country and building a supportive network

I applied to Learn to Lead because: I had done the Leading Provincial Females Course in Munster which was brilliant, it helped me grow in confidence so much. I just wanted to continue to learn more about the lgfa and encouraging other women to get involved.

The things I’m looking forward to most are: Meeting more like minded people, Learning more about myself and Finding new ways to encourage more girls to join and stay in sport especially ladies football, lead by example.

I applied for Learn to Lead because: I wanted to develop my leadership skills and to learn off the other talented people who are doing the programme.

The things I am looking forward to most are: I’m looking to develop as a person, meet new people and grow my leadership to bring back into my club and my everyday life.

Coaching

I applied for Learn to Lead because: As I get closer to the end of my playing days; I want to nurture a similar ‘grá’ or love of Gaelic Games in the next generation of players. I have been fortunate to have some excellent coaches over the years. I hope that those players who I work with in the future will feel that their time on the football pitch has been similarly well invested.

The things I am looking forward to most are:  I am looking forward to looking further into the psychological aspect of coaching and how to encourage all players to maximise their own potential. I am also looking forward to having a mentor to help me analyse my current coaching strengths and weaknesses and how to build on these moving forward.

I applied for the Learn to Lead because: I was blown away with the idea of having an opportunity to attend such a unique course designed to instil self-belief & confidence in Females in a sport which is predominantly dominated by males.  It’s a personal development, an interactive programme, a journey which is designed to provide me with the skillset & insights into developing my own leadership style which is turn will allow me to reach my full potential in a sport I clearly am so passionate about. What’s not to love?

The things I am looking forward to most are: I am really looking forward to my own personal journey throughout the 12 months, the transition along the way, understanding my own personal leadership style, bringing out the best in me & the people around me, whether that’s personal, professional, or in my sporting life.
