Pairings Known for Ulster Club Finals

ULSTER CLUB FINALS

The teams for the Ulster club finals are now known after a busy and exciting weekend of semi-final action.

Errigl-Ciaran-v-Termon-8

In the senior decider we will have a repeat of last year’s final between Termon (Holders) and former champions Donaghmoyne. Donegal outfit Termon made the trip to south Tyrone to face Errigal Ciaran and didn’t have it all their own way. Final score was 1-10 to 1-6. Donaghmoyne also had a tough day away in Virginia where local side, Lurgan, made life difficult for them before the former All Ireland champions won by five points (2-13 to 3-5).

Glenelly and Donaghmoyne B will meet in the intermediate final. The Tyrone champions continued to impress this time with a comprehensive 6-9 to 0-10 win over Fermanagh Kingpins Lisnaskea. Donaghmoyne’s second string also cruised to the final with a 6-12 to 2-4 victory over St. John Bosco.

O Neill Shamroks will be the third team form Monaghan in an Ulster club final when they meet Derry side Steelstown in the junior final. Steelstown booked their place on Saturday with a 4-12 to 3-5 win over Dongeal neighbours Buncrana. O Neills were the last team to qualify courtesy of a handsome victory over Brookboro on Sunday evening.
