Inter Provincials

This weekend all roads lead to the inter provincials with
Connacht once again sponsored by ECC timber. The Galway
based timber company is once again delighted to sponsor
the Connacht team in the provincials and Connacht Council
is equally delighted to have them on board. During the
Course of the weekend Connacht will play all the other
provinces. This years team is managed by Galway boss Pat
Costello.

TG4 Championship

This Years Connacht Final on July 1st will be the old
guard once again following Galway’s victory over Sligo
on Saturday evening last in Tourlestrane. The ECC timber
player of game on Saturday evening went to Sligo net minder
Katrina Connonlly. For the St Nathy’s player it was the
second week that she collected the ECC timber player of
the game award.

Corrib Oil Under 18 Championship

The Final of the Corrib Oil Minor Championship will be
played on Tuesday evening with Mayo enjoying home advantage
against defending Champions Galway. On Friday evening
last Mayo played Sligo in a do or die game for the red
and green. Not alone had Mayo to win the game they had
to do so by 5 or 6 points. This they did in Charlestown
as they had 9 points to spare over the Yeats County. For
the Yeats County it was the start of what was to be a
very bad black 24 hours for them as they would lose all
3 games that they were involved in.

Under 14 Championship

Round 2 of the U – 14 Championship was played in the past
week with Mayo defeating Leitrim and Galway recording
victory over Sligo. Round 3 will go ahead during this
coming week.

Under 16 Championship

The first round of action in the 2007 Under 16 Championship
will take place on Friday 25th May with Mayo entertaining
Sligo – most likely in Ballina – and Leitrim hosting Roscommon.
