Call For Support From President Pat Quill

LGFA President Pat Quill has called on female supporters to go to Sunday’s TG4 All Ireland Finals in Croke Park.

‘For some reason, women don’t support women’s athletes that well but hopefully they will on this occasion’.

The President said it has been ‘a great year for women’s sport’, particularly because of the Olympic success of former Ladies Gaelic footballer Katie Taylor.

Pat Quill also praised the role of TG4 in promoting the ‘very marketable product’ that is Ladies Football.
