Corporate Lunch to Support Cork’s Magnificent Ladies Football and Camogie teams The Cork Senior Ladies Football and Camogie teams have joined forces to host a corporate fundraising lunch on Thursday 23rd of November in the Rochestown Hotel. It has been another outstandingly successful year for Cork’s Ladies footballers and Camogie players with both teams winning their respective All Ireland Championships for the second year running. This unique “double double” has never been achieved before in Irish sporting history. The Ladies Footballers saw off a spirited display from Ulster Champions Armagh in their All Ireland Final while the Camogie crown was secured as the Rebelletes dispatched local rivals Tipperary in a dazzling display of skill and defensive defiance at Croke Park. Both panels from the two All Ireland winning squads will be fully represented at a corporate lunch which is being used as a joint fundraiser to raise the much needed revenue to continue the success of Cork’s two premier teams. The Master of Ceremony for the corporate lunch will be Cork96FM presenter Finbarr McCarthy and one of the guest speakers for the afternoon will be Cork hurling legend Seán Óg Ó’Hailpin. The players from both codes are calling on all local companies to support this very worthy fundraising event. Companies can show their support by sponsoring a table at what promises to be highly entertaining luncheon. Tables will cost €1000 per table of 10 or €500 per half table. There will also be an auction of sporting memorabilia and a raffle for a number of valuable prizes. The fundraising lunch takes place in the Rochestown Park Hotel at 12.45pm on Thursday 23rd November, 2006 and the teams are calling on local business to support their drive towards a unique “treble double” in 2007.
