There was a feast of football in the annual Marianne Costello Memorial Tournament on Saturday in Naomh Peregrine. Six Dublin Clubs and Kilmovee Shamrocks played for the honours in this 9-a-side blitz. Kilmovee Shamrocks went home with the trophy for the second year running narrowly beating last years runners-up, Clannagael Fontenoy for the top honours. A new feature in the competition this year is a Shield which went to Cuala who went head to head with St Judes in the final. Well done to Rodger Watters and his team of organisers in Naomh Pergrine, the Costello Family and their sponsors for a great day out. Please pencil in Tuesday 14th April as your next deadline for the April County Board business. Féile application forms and rules will be circulated this week. Thanks to all the clubs who have drawn our atention to the clash with the boys, but this can’t be avoided. Féile na mBan ’09 will be on the Saturday and Sunday of the May Bank Holiday. It has been confirmed that the Div 1 & Div 2 winners will represent Dublin in National Féile in July. There are a few results missing from our 1st weekend of fixtures.
