Committees:

We are seeking to put together a PRO Sub – Committee. We are asking for your help in identifying in your clubs [parents & supporters] people with a flair for

Match Reporting
Communications & dealing with the Media
Marketing
Publishing [Programmes, Gazette, Dublin Yearbook, etc]
The members of this committee will be co-ordinated by the County PRO.

We are seeking tp put together a Trophies & Medals Sub – Committee. A comprehensive database of every trophy was compiled in 2007/8 and this needs to be updated.

We need someone to take responsibility for the database and bring it and keep it up to date.
We are looking for a “Trophies Officer” to make sure that all trophies are returned timely
The third person on the Sub – Committee will deal with our suppliers and generate the ‘voucher numbers’ at EuroTab Ltd.
The members of the committee will be co-ordinated by the Asst Secretary.

“Many Hands make Light Work” could be the motto as the workload on the Executive Committee grows exponentially with ever increasing membership and activity in the County. We are conscious of the demands being put on each and every one of our delegates within their clubs so we are asking that the ‘net’ be widened. There may be expertise out there within the Clubs waiting to be tapped. A Parent may be in a position to put together match programmes, an actively retired relation might give us a few hours each month to chase up trophies or one of your players may be studying journalism. Any and all potential candidates can contact me on the eMail, thanks.

Hard Luck to the Dublin Seniors who were 5 short of Monaghan’s 13 points in the Bord Gáis NFL.

The Dublin U14s got off to a flying start against Kildare last Saturday. See notes on the website. Well done girls!

Apologies for the late cancellation of the FUNdamentals Course last Saturday. As many of the participants were intending to go on to the Level 1 Course and as FUNdamemtal certification is a requirement for the next course, we don’t have enough to go ahead. The Level 1 course is postponed next Saturday. More details later.

The Annual Congress motions are attached for your information. Dublin have two motions; (a) to bring Rule 17 into line with the GAA Rule dealing with behaviour at games and (b) to align the number of intercounty medals with the permitted panels. Please study the document so that we can give direction on all the matters to our delegates at the Co Board meeting.

Once again you are all reminded that only players who are REGISTERED can train or play CPG na mBan. This is in the Rule Book. New players registered now will be covered until the end of May 2011. Existing players registered last year will lapse this coming May – i.e.; in about 9 weeks. So now is the time to set about collecting their 2010/11 subscriptions.

Round-up:

We read that Lucan Sarsfields ran a very successful Fashion Show last week. Pictures in the Gazette newspaper.
A day of football and fundraising happened in Naomh Peregrins on Saturday. The 4th Annual Marianne Costello memorial took place and this was followed by the unveiling of a Commemorative Plaque. Later in the evening, Richie Costello presented Barnardo’s Charity with a cheque representing months of fundraising and he is off on a sponsored trek through the Himalayas at the end of the month. Well done Richie, well done too to Rodger Watters for the usual great day’s football. For the record, nine clubs participated and the Tournament was won by Round Towers Clondalkin, runners-up Cuala. In the Shield, Clannagael Fontenoy took the honours and the hosts took silver.
