Etihad World Games Up and Running

58 teams from right around the globe are currently playing in the GAA World Games tournament  at the University College of Dublin with the action getting underway this morning, at 9:30am.

The finals of this competition will be played at Croke Park on Friday, August 12th in what is an additional source of encouragement for all of the teams that will be taking part.

Ladies Gaelic Football will be playing a huge part in the proceedings as 17 teams will take part in the competition. The 17 teams will be split into 2 competitions, one for Irish born players and one for native born players.

The Ladies Football action will got underway this morning 9th when the Irish born teams from Asia, Australia, the Middle East, New York, Abu Dhabi and Britain took to the field in a round robin tournament. The Top 3 from each group will then go into the Cup competition with the bottom two from each group going into the cup competition.
