Galway Blitz Clare to go Top

Galway continued their TESCO HomeGrown NFL Division 2 league campaign with a convincing victory over near neighbours Clare in perfect conditions in Pearse Stadium on Sunday.

From the throw-in the Galway ladies were on top in every part of the field and in particular in midfield where Emma Curley and Annette Clarke were full of running and the Clare girls just could not cope with them. H-T Score Galway 1-09   Clare 0-04

Galway continued to dominate proceedings in the 2nd half despite making several changes with Clare only getting past the Galway half-back line on a limited number of occasions. With Kerry and Westmeath drawing their match and Kildare just getting over Fermanagh it is now a 4 way tie at top of Div 2 with everything to play.
