IT Carlow power past IT Tralee

ITC started the stronger with a small breeze behind them. They went 0.4 up 0.0. After 10 mins ITT registered their first point. Carlow added a goal from Vivienne McCormick on 15 mins. Carlow were the stronger for the opening 20mins and added another goal on the 20^th min. ITT came more into the came and added a goal from a poor clearance by the Carlow defender, bringing the scores to 2.5 – 1.1. As the 1^st half came to a close, Carlow added another goal and a point before Tralee added the same bringing the halftime score to 3.6 – 2.2.

The 2^nd half started with Tralee on top but without converting their chances. With 10 mins of the 2^nd half gone Tralee had notched up 2 points and Carlow against the run of play scored a goal and a point. After this Carlow gained the momentum and went on to convincingly win the game, working hard to protect their lead and hitting Tralee on the counter.
