Kerry Ladies Football board have launched their 2014 Spring Series Campaign at TESCO, Deerpark, Killarney. The novel campaign aims to attract a big home following to Kerry’s 5 TESCO Homegrown National Football League home fixtures. Kerry have taken huge steps forward in recent years after a relatively lean period during the 1st decade of the millennium. They contested the 2012 TG4 All Ireland Final and went on to seal promotion back to Division 1 of the TESCO Homegrown National Football League after defeating Galway. They also claimed their first Munster title in 10 years as they defeated Cork and went on to reach the All Ireland semi final last August. The Kerry county board are hoping to build on this success in 2014 by launching the #KerryLadiesSpringSeries during which they will welcome Tyrone, Laois, Cork. Mayo and Donegal. The first fixture comes for Kerry on February 2nd when they welcome Tyrone to the magnificent surrounds of Fitzgerald Stadium. To help boost numbers for the Spring Series the players from the star studded Kerry senior panel will embark on a tour of the Kingdom as they visit schools throughout the county and invite schools to take part in a competition to design a mascot for the Kerry Ladies Senior team with the winning school receiving a training session from some of Kerry’s best and brightest stars. It promises to be a great spring in the Kingdom and all proud Kerry people are being called on to get behind their team #KerryLadiesSpringSeries Share this Article 0 0
