KILKENNY V LONGFORD

KILKENNY V LONGFORD

Kilkenny and Longford go head to head in this years Leinster intermediate final on Saturday next (21/6/08) in Dr. Cullen park,
Carlow, with a throw-in time of 2:30.

While Kilkenny go into this game as the reigning all Ireland junior champions, they will be seen as the underdogs against a more experienced Longford side, However the Nore-siders have already taken a big scalp in this years Leinster championship, when they beat Div. 2a side, Westmeath (2.10 to 1.10) in an exciting semi-final game, in May, so confidence will be riding high in the Kilkenny camp for the final.

Longford, who compete in Div. 2b, have not had the best of runs in this years Suzuki national football league, winning only two out of five games, however they will not want to leave the leinster intermediate title behind them on Saturday next, and may prove too strong for the cats on the day.

The best of luck to both teams on the day.
