Leinster All Star Nominations 2010

45 players from across the Country have been nominated for a coveted O’Neill’s / TG4 all star award, out of the 45 players in contention , 15 will be representing Leinster at this years prestige’s awards ceremony in the City West Hotel on Saturday 13th November. Nine nominated players are from this years TG4 all Ireland senior champions, Dublin, with five players from Laois and one from Kildare.
Dublin goalkeeper Cliodhna O’Connor is in line for her third all star award, with Rachel Ruddy (Dublin), Lorraine Muckian and Aisling Quigley (Laois) getting the nomination for their full back line performances, during this years TG4 championship.
Patricia Fogorty (Laois), Aisling Holton (Kildare) along with Siobhan McGrath and Gemma Fay of Dublin are also in contention for an all star award, having performed at the highest level in their respective half back positions.
At midfield, Dublin’s captain fantastic, Denise Masterson is nominated for the second year in succession, while Tracey Lawlor of Laois will be hoping to add a third all star trophy to her collection, along side two Bord Gáis Energy team of the league awards (2009, 2010).
Mary Nevin (Dublin) receives her second nomination, with Amy McGuinness (Dublin) and Noirin Kirwan of Laois also in line for an O’ Neill’s / TG4 all star award at Half forward, McGuinness received the number ten shirt at this years Bord Gáis Energy team of the league awards, while Dublin sharp shooter Sinead Ahern (2009 TG4 all star / Bord Gáis Energy team of the league award) and Elaine Kelly will be hoping to collect the full forward all star award for 2010.
