Lisnaskea claim Fermanagh U-16C Title

U16 C League Final Lisnaskea 1-16 Ederney 1-04 Lisnaskea
were favorites for this tie holding a number of senior experienced
players in their team while Ederney were crowned U14 champions
a few weeks ago. It was the strength and experience which told
the outcome of this game. Lisnaskea girls were physically stronger
and used it too their advantage. Ederney show their skill and
talent but lack than extra bit too control the game. Lisnaskea
won the ball for the through in and full forward Eirn Durnien
slotted over her teams first point from play.

Brookborough U-16 League Champions

The Skea girls were controlling the game from mid-field,
Rebecca Curran winning a lot of ball and setting up attack after
attack. The full forward line for Lisnaskea were very effective
all getting on the score board after 7minutes of play, notably
Sarah-Jayne Smith who latched onto a ball played over the fullback
and pulled on it to rattled the net. Ederney registered their
first score for a free taken accurately by Faustina Gillen.

Ederney U-16 League Finalists

The Ederney girls won the resulting kick out too advance forward again but good defending from fullback Shannon Durnien and Leanne Breslin put the ball out for a 45yard kick, this was a well worked move by Ederney and Eimear Devenney pointed for the green and whites. Lisnaskea were very strong on the ball and carried the ball well, Sarah Curran tagged on three points along sides Durnien who also pointed three times. Ederney goalkeeper Niamh Gillen played excellent in goals and saved her team on numerous occasions. Carol McDonagh pointed for Ederney from play too round off the scoring in the first half. Lisnaskea were well in control at the break leading 1-11 to Ederney 4points. The second half Lisnaskea continued their dominance and pointed five times through Durnien, Ciara and Erin. Ederney were only able to point once over the half hour from Sarah McCausland who was lively throughout the game. Lisnaskea ran out convincing winners to take the U16 C league title.
