There was another hugely successful day in Naomh Mearnóg and St Sylvester’s GAA Clubs today for our All Ireland Club 7’s today and it was an amazing spectacle as 18 pitches were in full flow throughout the day with teams at Senior, Intermediate and Junior level. In the Junior section St Faithleachs (Roscommon) claimed the Shield title while Tuam Cortoon (Galway) proved too strong for Ballyboughal (Dublin) in the Championship Final. This was an excellent achievement as 45 teams had contested the junior section of this years 7’s. In the Intermediate grade Dublin’s Clann Mhuire took home the Shield while incredibly Moycullen (Galway) achieved back to back titles in the Championship overcoming a very gallant St Patrick’s from Wicklow. The Senior competition was once again hugely competitive and Parnells from London ensured the brought silverware back across the water as they won the Shield competition while The Banner (Clare) excelled in the Championship Final beating Armagh’s Clann Eireann in a very high scoring match. We were delighted to have teams from all over Ireland and also Britain, Europe and San Diego taking part. The competition grows every year and we would like to that all our volunteers, officials and of course our host clubs for another amazing day. Share this Article 0 0
