Pat the Baker Munster Schools Latest

Tralee Pres qualified for the final of the Pat the Baker
Junior C final after a good win over Charleville last Friday
in Rathmore. The result was all the more remarkable as coach
Dell White could only select from a panel of 16 as she has
five long term injuries. With first year Madbh Barry and
Niamh Moriarty on top in the middle of the field it allowed
wing forward Molly O’Donnell the openings to strike for
two first goals as the Tralee girls went in at the interval
two points to the good over their North Cork rivals. Despite
the continuing swirling wind the Pres continued to set the
pass as centre forward Lisa Keane bagged a brace of goals
and Molly O’Donnell completed her hat trick of goals following
a scintillating run from over 45 yards.

Mariah Curtin and Captain Aoife Moriarty were outstanding
at the back for the winners as they advanced to the Munster
final, they face Kyldsart of Clare, who defeated Ard Schoil
na Deise of Waterford 1-11 to 1-03 in the other Semi Final.

The Munster Final has been fixed for Tuesday the 20th of
March.
