Sligo too sharp for Longford

Longford 1-7    Sligo 4-14

Sligo did all of the damage in the first half as they scored 3 goals and 10 points on their way to an emphatic victory. Longford did get off to a fast start and had a goal after only 7 minutes as Michelle Farrell made no mistake from the penalty spot. Sligo replied 3 minutes later with a goal of their own and followed with two more before half time.

Sligo enjoyed a 13 point lead at half time and matched the visitors score for score before sealing the victory with one last goal beore Yvonne Duffy blew the final whistle.
