TESCO Homegrown Club All Ireland Finalists confirmed

The 2012 TESCO Homegrown All Ireland Club finalists have now been confirmed for the senior and junior finals whilst a replay will be necessary before the Intermediate pairing is confirmed.

Defending All Ireland Senior Champions, Carnacon of Mayo, will face Monaghan’s Donaghmoyne after the Cora Staunton ispired team enjoyed a 4 point victory over Inch Rovers of Cork. Donaghmoyne were impressive winners in the other semi final as they defeated Shelmalier of Wexford by 1-21 to 0-7.

Boherbue of Cork will face Thomas Davis from Dublin in the Junior Final. The Cork women came out on top in a high scoring game against Donaghmoyne’s second team winning 3-6 to 1-6. Thomas Davis were convincing winners over Annaghdown of Galway in the other semi final after a 2-22 to 0-4 final score sent them through to face the Cork women in the final.

Cahir, from Tipperary, battled through a tough semi final against Newtownbutler in the Intermediate semi final as they won 5-9 to 3-4 but they will have to await the result of a replay before they know their oppostition after Kilkerrin/Clonberrin of Galway and Parnell’s of London could not be separated despite playing two periods of extra time with both sides scoring 1-12 apiece.
