Holders Monaghan will meet Tyrone in the TG4 Ulster final after both sides came through their semi finals on Saturday. Monaghan had no problems overcoming Down however Tyrone needed extra time to see off the challenge of Donegal.

The Farney girls had booked their place by half time as they led the Mourne side 4-5 to 0-2. Leaving Certificate student Caoimhe Mohan bagged a hatrick by the 23rd minute. Monaghan actually led by seven points before Down opened their account. While things were one sided at the Morgan Athletic Grounds the same could not be said for the other decider in Brewster Park. Donegal and Tyrone served up a twelve goal thriller which the Red Hand girls won 6-17 to 6-10 after extra time. Both sets of forwards were on fire throughout a close first sixty minutes.
