This weekends Suzuki Ladies NFL Preview

This weekends Suzuki National League Football Previews

Cork v Meath Division 1B Mountmellick: 2.00pm Cork and Meath,
last year’s Suzuki Ladies National League finalists, come face
to face in the pick of the weekend’s league fixtures. Both sides
have started the league well with two wins from two outings and
with Galway also in Division 1B, a loss on Sunday could seriously
dent either team’s ambitions of making the play-offs. Cork captain
Juliet Murphy knows that Meath pose a serious threat to the Rebelettes
unbeaten record, she said, “Meath have started the league campaign
very strongly and are a really tough physical side. We will be
without some of our dual players so the younger players will get
a chance to perform against one of the top sides in the competition.”

Tyrone v Kerry Division 1A Ferbane: 2.00pm Robbie Griffin’s Kerry
will be looking to build on the strong start they have made to
the season by beating Tyrone in Ferbane on Sunday. Kerry have
amassed seven goals and 28 points in their opening two games and
captain Sarah O’Connor and Kacey O’Driscoll will pose serious
questions of the Tyrone defence and have been devastating in front
of goal in their previous two games. Tyrone recorded an impressive
win over Waterford last weekend and a win on Sunday will put them
right in contention for a place in the play-offs.
