Macedonia, they had to come from behind to defeat a gallant
Mayo team in a pulsating final at Birr on Saturday last.

Mayo led by 2–2 to 0-5 at the break but an exibition of
point scoring from Marie O’Neill and Geraldine O’Flynn who
score 11 between them and a vital goal from Laura Power,
saw Cork edge home on a score line of 1-15 to 3-5. After
5 final defeats Gabriel Rangers from Skull captured the
Co Junior title on Sunday evening in miserably wet conditions
at Ovens. They led 0-7 to 0-4 over Kildorrery at the break
and ran out comfortable winners on a score line of 3-10
to 1-5
