Weekend Championship Preview[Audio] The All-Ireland Ladies Football Championship reaches the end of its group stage this weekend. There are still a wealth of quarter-final places to be claimed. Will Downing looks forward: Introduction[1.23MB] It's the key weekend in the TG4 Ladies Football Championship, with the remaining quarter-final places to be decided. The only issue still open in Group 1 is who finishes top - the meeting of Mayo and Dublin will decide that, while Kerry and Waterford are just playing for pride. In Group 2, the winners of Monaghan and Galway will progress along with group winners Cork, who take on eliminated Roscommon. Galway skipper Annette Clarke has been telling Will Downing how crucial it is for her side to claim victory this weekend: Galway Ladies Football - Annette Clarke[768kB] In Group 3, Tyrone and Sligo is the winner-takes-all game, as Laois are already through, and the O'Moore County's opponents Donegal are already out. Sligo boss Paddy Henry has told Will Downing it's either a new gear in their season - or it's all over: Sligo Ladies Football - Paddy Henry[833kB] The three other teams in Group 4 can still progress along with group winners Armagh - victory for Meath over Kildare would definitely put the Royals through, but the Lilywhites would progress should Down lose to Armagh. Down themselves can still progress, as long as a win for them is matched by a win from Kildare - and then score-difference comes into play. Brianne Leahy has been giving Will Downing the Lilywhites' view going into the weekend: Kildare Ladies Football - Brianne Leahy[1.14MB] Meath manager Geraldine Sheridan is looking for a win, as she's told Will Downing: Meath Ladies Football - Geraldine Sheridan[796kB] To download an mp3, right click and select Save Link as or Save Target as.
