Weekly Notes – 8/11/2009.

  • Our Annual Dinner Dance takes in the Red Cow Moran’s Hotel on Friday 20th November at 8pm. Tickets are available at €50. On the night the Dublin All-Ireland Junior Championship winning side of 1989 will be honoured as will Dublin’s first ever All Star, Kathleen Kennedy. Come along and support.

  • DLGFA AGM will take place in Parnell Park at 8pm on Tuesday 24th November. It will be preceded by the County Board meeting which will start at 7.15pm. Nominations, motions and recommendations should be with the County Secretary by Monday 9th November. Any amendments to the Bye Laws which you have received by e-mail should also be submitted by the same date.

  • Some Leinster Council Grants worth €500 will be made available shortly to third level college students. When further details become available they will be posted on the website www.dublinladiesgaelic.ie

  • Congratulations to St. Brigid’s on qualifying for the All-Ireland Intermediate Club final against Brian Boru’s of Tippereary. They completely overwhelmed Mayo champions, Breaffy at their grounds on Sunday last in the semi-final by 6-10 to 0-1. The date and time of the final will be posted on the website as soon as details become available.

  • Many thanks to Scoil Ui Chonaill, Clanna Gael Fontenoy and St. Brigid’s for hosting an array of juvenile finals over the weekend. Congratulations to the victorious teams.

  • Saturday 14th is the night of the All Stars in City West and hopefully Dublin will surpass the previous best of four awards in one year. Good luck to the nine players who were nominated.
