REIGNING champions Cork have been handed a titanic TG4 All-Ireland
ladies football championship quarter-final

 

REIGNING champions Cork have been handed a titanic
TG4 All-Ireland ladies football championship quarter-final against
rivals Mayo. 

The draw for the quarter-finals of the championship were made
following yesterday’s last two provincial finals and the
clash of Cork and Mayo is the pick of the bunch.

 

That game will be played as part of a double header on Saturday
August 19th alongside another huge game which sees Galway take
on beaten Leinster finalists, Meath.

 

The other two quarter-finals will be played as a double header
on Saturday, August 26th and sees Ulster champions Armagh face
Waterford while Laois tackle Monaghan.

 

All four games will be shown live on TG4 though the venues have
yet to be confirmed.

 

The draw for the All-Ireland junior championship quarter-finals
also took place at the Galway Races yesterday. The first double
header will be played on August 20th with Clare against Fermanagh
while Leitrim face Limerick.

 

The second double bill sees Wexford face Sligo while Cavan meet
Longford on August 27th.
