Munster Ladies Development surges on!

This week Munster Ladies held their second county development officers meeting of the year and all in attendance have laid down a marker for others to follow, the positivity and openness of everyone can only mean great things for Ladies Football in the Province. When welcomed by George Young, Munster Council Development Officer, he expressed his gratitude to the development officers for their work over the past 6 months. Each development officer presented information on their current development committee status and some of the key projects that their county has been working on recently. Programmes like reward initiatives, development squads, under 10 blitz structures, club school links, collaboration with Mary Immaculate College were all discussed and ideas shared around the table.

In recent months every county in Munster has been working on compiling a county operational plan and a structure for development sub committees. The members of these sub committees now have identified roles and are working together to produce a calendar of development workshops and courses that will take place over the coming months in each county. The committees will now work towards assigning dates to all these workshops and to submit the calendars to Munster Council in the coming weeks. These calendars will then be made available to all clubs so that they can plan their own pre-season preparation and up skilling.

The county development officers will meet again in November.
