112 LGFA teams to compete in John West Féile na nÓg

THE very best of luck to the 112 LGFA teams taking part this weekend (Friday 29th June –Sunday 1st July) in the John West Féile Peile na n-Óg Competition, hosted by clubs in Down, Louth and Meath, with some clubs also from Armagh, Cavan and Kildare.

This weekend could not take place without all the wonderful host families welcoming teams into their homes.

This year’s competition will see over 2,600 girls from LGFA teams taking part including seven overseas teams, with Delco Gaels from Philadelphia (pictured below) and Gloucestershire competing for the 1st time.

266 games will be played over the three days and the weekend will be very warm, so bring plenty of water and suncream!

A special thank you to all of the John West Féile Officials, Venue Co-ordinators and Referees who will be working tirelessly to ensure that so many fixtures schedules are adhered to throughout the weekend.
