The County Board recently held a very successful celebration for the 2012 County Teams.  It was a great night and the club commends the organizing committee and the guest speakers on the night.  The U14s, U16’s, the Minors and Seniors were awarded with medals for their respective games and St. Nathys players were represented at 3 out of the 4 groups.  Hannah Walsh captained the U14’s with her teammates Laoise McDonagh, Mary Ann O’Kennedy, & Belinda Mitchell all playing a vital role throughout the year.  Tara Doddy was the leading lady for the U16’s and was joined by Kathleen Coleman & Ciara Gorman.  The Intermediate team was captained by our own Etna Flanagan and the club members that played with her were Aine Gormley, Noelle Gormley and Annmarie Coleman.  It was a huge honor for St. Nathys to have 3 players as captains of County Teams and in total have 11 girls representing the County.  On behalf of the club well done to all players ye have all done the club proud.

The honors did not stop last week when nominations for the Post Primary Schools All Star team were announced with Tara Doddy and Kathleen Coleman nominated from St. Nathys.  Tara was successful in receiving an All Star award.  Congratulations to both girls it was a great achievement.

Congratulations to the Sligo Ladies.  They were playing against Longford in the first round of the National League and had a convincing win.  They play Down next Sunday the 10th February in IT Sligo in the second Round.  St. Nathys once again are well represented at County Level with Etna Flanagan retaining her captaincy this year, Noelle Gormley, Aine Gormley, Annemarie Coleman, Tara Doddy and Grainne McDonagh all playing their part in supporting the County Intermediate team.
