2013 TG4 Player’s Player of the Year Nominees

The 2013 Player’s Player of the Year Awards nominees were today confirmed. The nominees in the Players’ Player of the Year Awards are selected by their fellow players who can only select players from opposition teams. 3 players have been selected in each grade (Senior, Intermediate and Junior) and the winner will be announced at the 2013 TG4 All Star Awards in the Citywest Hotel on November 9^th.

 

The 3 nominees in the Senior Player’s Player of the Year all played in the TG4 Senior All Ireland Final. Sharon Courtney who had an excellent year at full back for Monaghan is joined by her Monaghan team mate Caoimhe Mohan as nominees for the award. Geraldine O’Flynn is Cork’s nominee for the award having also been nominated in 2012.

 

3 counties are represented in the Intermediate Player’s Player of the Year Category as Tipperary, Fermanagh and All Ireland Champions, Cavan, have one nominee each. Mairead Morrissey had a great year for Tipperary and is nominated alongside Fermanagh’s Caroline Little with Gráinne Smith representing the All Ireland Champions, Cavan.

 

Offaly have two nominees for the 2013 Junior Player’s Player of the Year with Lorraine Keena and goal scoring hero Mairead Daly joining Wexford star, Ellen O’Brien in receiving the nomination.
