All 4 provinces will be represented amongst the 10 participants coming from Cavan, Tyrone, Mayo, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Cork, Dublin, Kildare and Meath. The 10 clubs that will take part in the new programme are; Butlerstown (Cavan), Craobh Chiarain (Dublin), Kerins O’Rahilly’s (Kerry), St. Kevin’s (Kildare), Granagh Ballingarry (Limerick), Miltown (Galway), St. Mary’s Donore/Rosnaree (Meath), Clonmel Commercials (Tipperary), An Charraig Naomh Padraig (Tyrone) and St. Colman’s (Cork) All 10 clubs will now have the opportunity to take part in the LGFA club development initiative aimed at strengthening club structures. This initiative focuses on developing areas such as volunteer recruitment and retention, governance & officer training, sponsorship and fundraising, games development as well as planning for the future to ensure sustainable structures are in place going forward. The club will now avail of free training for their club officers and coaches, resources will also be provided to the club to assist with building sustainable structures, a basic 2 year plan will be put in place with the aim of increasing the retention rates of volunteers with the overall effect being that clubs can become a more vibrant and active part of the local community. Speaking at the announcement LGFA National Development Manager, Paula Prunty said ‘this is a great opportunity for clubs to develop their structures both on the field and off it. It will assist struggling clubs or clubs that want to build solid foundations for the future by providing high quality role specific training for role administrators and coaches in the clubs. We are very excited about piloting this programme and we believe that all 10 of the participating clubs will benefit hugely from being part of this initiative.’ LGFA Club2Gether Pilot Programme Participants Butlerstown Cavan Craobh Chiarain Dublin Kerins O’Rahillys Kerry St Kevins Kildare Granagh Ballingarry Limerick Milltown Galway St Mary’s Donore/Rosnaree Meath Clonmel Commercials Tipperary An Charraig Naomh Padraig Tyrone St Colman’s Cork Share this Article 0 0
