Joint-leaders in the race for the 2024 ZuCar Golden Boot award

WE now have joint-leaders in the race for the ZuCar Golden Boot award.

High-scoring exploits from Dublin captain Carla Rowe and Galway’s Olivia Divilly have propelled the pair to the top of the scoring charts – and with the counties set to meet in the TG4 All-Ireland Senior quarter-final on Saturday July 6.

Rowe bagged 3-6 against Kildare last Sunday to move her on to 4-8 in the overall standings, as Divilly collected 2-9 in the comprehensive victory over Laois, bringing her TG4 All-Ireland Championship tally to 3-11.

In the current top 5, Rowe and Divilly lead the way ahead of previous pacesetter Sara Doyle (Carlow), last year’s winner Fidelma Marrinan (Clare) and Leitrim’s Ailbhe Clancy.

The ZuCar Golden Boot award will be presented to the player who finishes as leading scorer across the three grades in the TG4 All-Ireland Junior, Senior and Intermediate Championships.
