Aimee Mackin and Lyndsey Davey launch the coverage of the AIG/LGFA 2020 Teams of the 2020 TG4 All-Ireland Ladies Football Championship

 

  • Show to be screened on TG4 on Saturday night at 7.15pm

 

  • Player of the Year and Team of the Year to be unveiled for senior, intermediate and junior

 

  • AIG Cúl na Bliana to be announced, with the public encouraged to make their predictions to be in with a chance to win a great prize

Dublin’s Lyndsey Davey and Armagh’s Aimee Mackin were on hand to officially launch the coverage of the AIG/LGFA 2020 teams of the 2020 TG4 All-Ireland Ladies Football Championship today.

The pair will be particularly interested viewers this weekend when they tune into Peil na mBan – Foirne na Bliana in association with AIG on TG4 on Saturday from 7.15pm.

Both are in the running for places on the Senior Team of the Year, with Mackin also nominated for the Player of the Year award – the top individual accolade in the game. On top of that Mackin is also on the shortlist for the AIG Goal of the Year.

Davey played her part as the Dubs won the All-Ireland title for the fourth year in-a-row while Mackin was outstanding in the Orchard County’s run to the All-Ireland semi-final, where she scored 2-4 in defeat to Dublin.

‘Peil na mBan – Foirne na Bliana le AIG Insurance’ will reveal the 2020 Junior, Intermediate and Senior Teams of the Championship.

15 players will be honoured from the Junior grade, 15 from the Intermediate ranks, and 15 from the Senior Championship.

In addition, the 2020 TG4 Players’ Player of the Year award winners will be announced (one from each grade), while the 2020 AIG Cúl na Bliana (Goal of the Year) winner will be revealed.
