All the latest news from around the country In December of 2006, Pat the Baker signed a three year 32 county sponsorship deal with Ladies Gaelic for all the Ladies Gaelic Post-Primary Schools competitions and this week witnesses the first of the Pat the Baker Post Primary All Ireland Schools semi-finals. The Pat the Baker Junior Post Primary Schools semi-finals take place between the top U/15 school’s sides from each of the four provinces across three grades of competition. In the Junior A Championship, Connacht champions Presentation College, Tuam take on Leinster’s finest St. Mary’s of Edenderry. While on the other side of the draw Intermediate School Kilorglin, Co. Kerry represent Munster’s hopes against Ulster Champions St. Cairns, Ballygawley of Tyrone. The Junior B Championship, sees Galway’s Dunmore Community School take on Moyne College of Longford and St. Caimins Community School, Clare meet Omagh’s Loretto Grammar. In the Junior C Championship John Bosco Community College, Kildysart, Co. Clare face St. Catherine’s Armagh and in the other semi-final Ballinamore of Leitrim take on St. Bridgets from Callan in Kilkenny. In other news Bernie Priestly from the Irish Sports Council will give a lecture at this year’s National Children’s Officers Day being held in The Tullamore Court Hotel on Saturday 31st of March. Eileen O’Rourke from Castleknock Community College will also give a presentation on Bullying in Sport.
