Anna Moore is the Lucozade Sport/Irish Independent Player of the Month for April. The talented teenager from Laois was instrumental in leading St Leo’s of Carlow to their first ever Pat the Baker Senior Schools title. St Leo’s put in a powerful display against Loreto Fermoy to win 3-11 to 2-5 and became the first Leinster school to claim the Pat the Baker Senior Schools title. St Leo’s had been knocking on the door for some time, losing two previous finals but they were unstoppable this year. Anna Moore was fantastic in the final, kicking two points from midfield, despite spraining her ankle after only 29 seconds and playing the game severely hampered by the injury. The Laois minor star is still over the moon. “It has been an unreal buzz for all of us, and to be the first Leinster school to win the All-Ireland is unbelievable. The school gave us great support with over five buses traveling down and we were just so thrilled after losing two finals before this”, she said. Share this Article 0 0
