Applications Open for Lidl National G4M&O Blitz Day

We are delighted to announce details of our Lidl National Gaelic4Mothers &Others Blitz Day which will take place on the 14^th October in Naomh Mearnog GAA Club, Portmarnock, Dublin. The Blitz Day is completely recreational and all players and mentors are asked to treat the Blitz in a fun and fairplay manner.  

 

This is not a day for competition and no scores will be recorded!

 

Please note the following information in relation to entry details:

 

1. The Entry fee is €200 per Team.
2. Panel sizes are a maximum of 20 players per team.  
3. Entry is limited to one team per club.

 

Teams should also note that your Entry Form will not be accepted without the Entry Fee.  Entry Fees cannot be paid on the day of the Blitz

 

Please note that as per last year NO PACKED LUNCHES will be provided on the day.

 

The day is planned to be family orientated with a festival atmosphere!  We encourage all teams to bring supporters and assist us with creating a great Family Day Out!  Gaelic4Mothers&Others title sponsors Lidl will also be present on the day and are working with us to make it a great event for all.  To keep us all entertained we will be joined again by the 2FM Roadcaster and this year we hope to add a small twist to our Mass Warm-up, more details to follow shortly!

 

The day is gearing up to be a fantastic event so please make sure to get your entry form in early! 

 

Closing date for Entry form is the 15^th September 2017 and all forms should be submitted to the Ladies Gaelic Football Office in Croke Park.  Please note if you have not completed your 2017 Ethos Form please find attached.  Only clubs who have Ethos Forms submitted may participate in the blitz.

 

Any teams who are staying on Friday or Saturday night, we would recommend you contact Activities Ireland (Nessa McCall) (01) 5056794 for accommodation deals in the Dublin Area. The Association uses Activities Ireland on a regular basis and we can definitely recommend their services and their ability to get great Hotel deals.

 

POST BLITZ ENTERTAINMENT

We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting some Post Blitz Entertainment.   This year, commencing at 3 p.m. a band will be playing in the hall of the Clubhouse, facilitating some dancing and rehydration.  The band will be followed by a DJ until 7 p.m.   A BBQ will also be available for teams to purchase post blitz refreshments from.  We would encourage all teams to factor in the post blitz entertainment when booking your buses, etc.
