Arklow Ladies Continue their good run

After a break of nearly a month the Arklow ladies
continued where they left off, with a convincing
win over a determined Eire Og side, the match
was played on thursday night under lights at the
Ballymoney grounds.

Arklow were first to settle with a goal from Caitriona
(the Gaa) Byrne, followed by a point from Lorraine
Byrne after good interchanges between Mary mordaunt
and Ann Higgins.Eire Og responded with a well
worked goal from Tracy O Halloran,The Arklow side
stepped up a gear with goals from Cathy Forde
and Caitriona Byrne with Ann Higgins notching
up a point.Eire Og finished the half with points
from Kealan, Lorna Fuscardi and two points from
Tracey O Halloran.The half finishing 3-3 to 1-4.

Arklow dominated in the second half with scores
from Michelle Kinsella 0-1 Ann Higgins 0-1 Lorraine
Byrne 0-1 Cathy Forde 1-0 caitriona Byrne 0-1
and Stephanie martin,Arklow’s scoring tally could
have been greater but for a number of excellent
saves from Eire Ogs keeper Aine Mc Carthy.Scorer
for Eire Og in the second half was from the in
form Tracey O Halloran 0-1.

Best for Arklow were Caitriona Byrne, Brenda halligan,
Mary Mordaunt, Ann Higgins.

Best for Eire Og were Lorna Fuscardi, Tracey O
Halloran, Aine McCarthy. Kealan.
