Armagh Ladies U16 report

Armagh U16 Ladies travelled to Kinawley to take on Fermanagh in their second game of the championship.

The home side opened the score but this was cancelled out when Niamh Henderson converted a long range free. Fermanagh replied with a further two points. Armagh’s Rebecca Mc Geary and Lauren Mc Conville each scored points to level the match at 0:3 each. The decisive score came ten minutes from half time when Fermanagh palmed the ball to the Armagh net. Fermanagh added a further with Armaghs Claire O’Callaghan scoring a point to leave the half time score 1:04 to 0:4 in favour of the home side.

The second half saw Fermanagh add a further 3 points to their tally despite Armagh dominating possession which they could not convert on the scoreboard. The visitors finished strongly with points from Lauren Mc Conville, Aoife Mc Parland and Niamh Hendersen but unfortunately the final whistle sounded with Armagh in control on the field but not on the scoreboard.

Final result – Fermanagh 1:7 Armagh 0:7
