Barcelona Gaels Gaelic Tournament

In conjunction with EL FEILE ’04 a major celtic-irish festival
taking place in Barcelona from 12th – 17th March, Barcelona
Gaels shall be hosting a gaelic games tournament. Barcelona,
a regular participant in the kerrygold Euroleague, will
be joined by the newly formed Costa Del Sol in entertaining
invited teams from Ireland and Britain . We currently have
places for more mens teams and Barcelona’s own Gaelettes
will be hosting a Ladies tournament.

Any teams interested in joining us in helping to develop
the image of the games in Spain. Barcelona Gaels will also
be representing gaelic games as part of the FORUM a massive
cultural event taking place over 5 months next year. The
club has been developing steady over the last two years
despite the inherent dificulties, primarily financial. And
it is through involvment with events like EL FEILE ’04 and
FORUM that we can increase awareness and hopefully sponsorship
for the club.

With flights to Barcelona currently at an all time low as
several airlines battle for control of the routes, the tournament
promises an economic, entertaining trip to one of Europes
most dramatic and beautiful Gaelic football centres. Oh
yeah and the weather can be quite nice too!
