Brilliant week-end in prospect for Womens Inter Provincials

This week-end the Womens Football Inter Provincials in Ladies
Football, take place at St Loman’s Grounds In Mullingar.
While the once popular mens equivalent, the Railway cups
have died a slow death, the womens event is on the up and
up.

At this stage the Provinces are taking the competition very
seriously and this is reflected in the very strong panels
selected. It is good to see a British team represented by
London taking part, but it will come as a major surprise
if they figure in the major honours.

This year a strong case can be made for each of the 4 Provinces,
but over 2 days a lot will depend on the closeness of games
and of course the injury risk and exhaustion factor, will
play a part. It is nice to see a good spread of counties
represented on each team

So you can expect great games and a great week-end at Mullingar.
