Busy weekend ahead for Cork ladies

 

 

The coming week promises to be a very busy one for all involved
in Cork ladies football.

Munster u 16 Final
Cork v Kerry Dr Croke’s Killarney 7pm Wednesday 2nd August

Cork line out against old foes Kerry in the u16 Munster final.
Since Cork have defeated their hosts at u 14 & Minor level
no doubt the girls from the Kingdom will be up for this particular
match. Since these sides have met at u 14 levels they will know
each other very well. Cork will look to Minor full forward Rhona
Buckley to keep the Kerry defence busy on the night!

All Ireland u 14 Final
Cork v Dublin Birr 2.30 pm Saturday 5th August

Cork go into this final on the back of a good win against a very
good Laois side. Though current All Ireland A Blitz holders they
will be under no illusion as to the challenge Dublin pose. Indeed
the ‘Dubs’ have been getting their act together at underage level
over the past couple of years and will prove formidable opposition
in the final.

All Ireland Minor Final Replay
Cork v Galway Birr 4pm Saturday 5th August

The much awaited minor final replay brings together two sides
who battled to a standstill in the drawn game. Many neutrals felt
that Galway were the better team that day and should really have
won. Now that Cork find themselves with a second opportunity no
doubt they will want to silence their critics.
